Careers in Poland: When did you move to Poland and how did you make that decision?
Natnael Tilahun Demissie: I moved to Poland in 2021 to pursue studies at the University of Warsaw. Several factors influenced my decision, but the main one was the quality of education. Additionally, I was eager to immerse myself in a new culture and meet people from diverse backgrounds. Student life and the opportunity to explore the country were also significant considerations in my decision.

I would definitely recommend living here!
CP: What was the biggest culture shock you experienced in Poland?
N.T.D: For me, the biggest culture shock was how reserved and quiet people are in public spaces in Poland. Coming from a place where people are more outgoing and expressive, it was surprising to see how much emphasis is placed on maintaining a calm and quiet demeanor in public. It offered me a unique chance to see how people value their personal space and the peaceful moments.

The internship lasted for three months and it provided me with invaluable learning experiences.
