It's our 5th birthday!

Today marks a special day for all of us at CareersinPoland.com - we are celebrating our 5th birthday!

We have come a long way over these years. Since the website’s launch in 2014, the Polish job market has seen a huge increase in the number of foreign employees - only last year Poland issued nearly 330,000 work permits - eight times more than five years ago! From the beginning, we have recognized the need to help expats navigate the Polish business environment as well as to provide them with useful advice on day to day matters. So far, we have issued six guidebooks in print and written nearly 400 online articles covering a range of topics, from “Work permits in Poland” and “Health insurance” to “Polish wedding guide” and “Traditional Polish dishes”. Our original content can also be found on various social media platforms: Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Be sure to follow us there!

None of this, however, would have been possible without your support. We are happy to observe that our website has attracted thousands of readers from all across the globe, always willing to share their thoughts and suggestions with us. In fact, we get lots of messages every day! Most of the questions tend to be work-related, some make us brush up on all things Poland - from sports clubs and dress codes to mushroom picking or... Santa Claus outfits! (no surprise here: they are pretty much the same as anywhere else in the world).

Together we have celebrated the centenary of Polish independence, Olga Tokarczuk’s Nobel Prize in literature and the Oscar success of the film “Ida”. We cannot wait to see what the next years hold for us all!
