About the role:
The role is part of the Sustainability Reporting team that manages the reporting requirements for our sustainable purchases and sales. We are looking for an experienced Sustainability Reporting Analyst. The role is a unique opportunity to work with teams all over the world on a regular basis and make a direct contribution to Barry Callebaut’s Forever Chocolate ambition.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting and certification management
- Responsible for monthly certification reports as per certification standard and internal requirements, sharing reports with relevant stakeholders
- Upon demand, create and update the additional monthly volume reporting as per certification standard and internal requirements
- Represent the ingredients certification reporting in sustainability audits
- Responsible for coordinating monthly sustainable sourced volume reports across all global sourcing regions
- Ownership of data pipeline for the global consolidation of sustainable sourced volume reports
- Ownership of reporting of sustainable ingredient KPIs incl. managing the annual external audit
- Consolidate traceability data and create internal reporting & dashboards
Process optimization and analyses
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems, reports and explore & implement automation opportunities
- Continuously maintain clear process documentation
- Initiate and lead root cause investigations if data is incorrect through close collaboration with Responsible Sourcing, Finance and other relevant functions
- Investigate and respond to internal queries related to the sustainability reporting
- Ensure data quality and make relevant requests to Master Data for all necessary changes, closely aligned with the Responsible Sourcing team
- Create and maintain relevant dashboards in PowerBI based on sustainable volume reports and stakeholder needs
- Various ad-hoc analyses based on business requirements
About you:
- Educational Background: University degree in economics, business administration, or a similar field.
- Professional Experience: 5-7 years in a corporate environment, preferably in finance or other data-driven/reporting functions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP and/or SAP Business Warehouse, Power BI Dashboard creation, and Python coding for data cleaning and restructuring.
- Database Knowledge: Basic understanding of database structures and SQL.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to review figures, assess their validity, and provide variance analysis.
- Project Management: Proven capability in managing complex projects and handling parallel, time-sensitive requirements.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with a customer-focused attitude, ensuring professional interaction across different nationalities and hierarchies.
- Optional: Experience with sustainability certifications such as Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance, or RSPO.
