This free-entry career day is organised by Collegium Civitas, a renowned non-public university in Warsaw, Poland, and is scheduled on March 31st, 2017 (Friday), 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. Located in the very heart of the Polish capital city, on the 12th floor of Warsaw's landmark, the Palace of Culture and Science, Collegium Civitas educates a substantial number of foreign students. The event is dedicated to them, but also to local people willing to start a career in an international environment, and other foreigners living in Poland. The International Students Club will make sure that the event is held in an interactive environment, where both foreigners and locals have an opportunity to receive knowledge about how multinational and global companies function, develop their skills through the discussion with business representatives, and finally get more familiar with the recruitment criteria of the companies.
The first International Career Day (ICD) was organised on March 28, 2014. The event was first of its kind, where the spoken language was English. Before ICD, there were not any events conducted especially for internationals living in Warsaw, therefore Collegium Civitas started a new phase by creating a new networking opportunity between the multinational companies and the foreigners living in Warsaw. The second and the third International Career Days received as much positive feedback and recognition. The event was attended by lots of top international companies. The participation in the event has proven beneficial for all parties, as many foreign students from Collegium Civitas, as well as from other international Universities of Warsaw, have been able to receive jobs or internships in the international companies that took part in the previous editions of the ICD.
All the previous Career Days were attended by a high number of participants (both internationals and locals) and have been considered a significant step for integration of the internationals into the business life of Poland. Multinational companies, which are pioneers in their respective fields, had the chance to share their expectations and provided information regarding business opportunities for English speakers in Poland. Moreover, many companies saw this event as a social responsibility act, as they played a major role in the integration of young foreigners into professional life.
This year, the panel speakers will include: BNP Paribas, AmCham, Hays, Manpower, Moneygram, The Foundation for Somalia, and many others. It will be possible for all the participants to attend workshops, take part in discussions and receive legal advice. If you would like to take part, learn more about job opportunities in Poland and have a chance to meet Careers in Poland, do not hesitate to join the event. See you there!
