Fund Accounting Team Leader in Private Capital

Private Capital, as part of wider Alternatives domain at BNP Paribas – Securities Services providing service to unique clients. Private Capital industry is going mainstream worldwide and as part of development of this service in Poland, BNP is building Private Capital Hub (Warsaw HQ & Krakow) to service our global clients. Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting / fund accounting (at least 2 years in team management capacity).
  • Proven experience in people management, ability to delegate and to gain the commitment among team members.
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes.
  • Knowledge of Private Capital will be a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication skills including fluency in English
  • Ability to identify, recommend and implement improvements to existing processes

Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage team of up to 10 Fund Accountants
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate production of various client specific reports.
  • Maintain a sufficient level of technical and process knowledge appropriate to support team members in difficult cases and take ownership when necessary
  • Act as a reviewer/validator on any tasks performed by the team that require checker control
  • Work with Senior Management and Risk to manage controls efficiently to alleviate any potential risk areas
  • Manage the resources of the team effectively so that changes to number of transactions, funds, services or any other changes are dealt without any service delivery degradation.
  • Ensure that processes are monitored properly and reviewed on a regular basis in order to increase productivity by making processes more efficient, encourage people to search for innovations and process optimization,
  • Organizing and performing training of staff and client specific requirements as well as cross training to develop depth and breadth of knowledge
  • Ensure regular staff meetings, twice-yearly appraisals and provide regular feedback based on goals for director reports.
  • Ensure the team’s results are fully green; e.g. service quality, productivity, staff engagement surveys, internal/external audit results are all exemplary
