If you are looking for exciting and meaningful opportunities for strong communicators in a global company at the forefront of the energy business and climate debate read on.

The world is changing fast and Shell is changing too – not only to keep up with developments – but to anticipate and shape a better future. Shell’s newly integrated global Corporate Relations function brings together professional communicators, brand experts, government relations professionals and specialists in non-technical risk and social performance to work with commercial and technical colleagues and deliver Shell’s business strategy and improving policy and advocacy outcomes. The CR team will bring external analysis and perspectives to business decisions, communicate Shell to the world and drive Shell’s brand and reputation. Drawing on a strong base of professional excellence, we aspire to be the best at achieving successful integrated outcomes for the business through effective engagement and communication with stakeholders and audiences.

About the P&A Organisation

In support of Shell’s strategic ambition, a newly formed centralized P&A team is being established within the Corporate Relations function. The new P&A unit will concentrate on policy making outcomes and will bring together expertise across lines of business (LOBs) and functions and utilize more sophisticated approaches including leveraging integrated campaigns aimed at a range of stakeholders. The P&A unit will be a strategic partner to the business and will develop the policy and advocacy, and reputation-building programmes required to deliver Shell’s strategic objectives: thrive through the energy transition, support a world class investment case, and deliver a strong societal license to operate. While most work will be conducted at country level, the central P&A team will be responsible for setting policy positions; supporting the local teams in positioning these in a local context. In addition to this, issues which require global or cross-country advocacy; and the prioritisation and decisions around global platforms and partnerships for policy advocacy purposes will be the responsibility of the central P&A team.
Success in delivering P&A outcomes requires Shell to have clear and granular policy objectives, identify the key stakeholders, influencers and communications channels and understand, through rigorous measurement, where we are succeeding in changing the political and societal narrative and delivering policy outcomes. Given the changing external environment, it is imperative to ensure consistency of principles, approach, and representation across Shell
